BCPA AGM Weekend Report 2009

This year’s Association weekend, which as always included the AGM, was held at the Westminster Hotel, Nottingham.
A friendly venue that enabled friends old and new to gather in a comfortable setting.
As always it proved to be a very full weekend. In a departure from recent years, the Co-ordinators meeting took place on Saturday rather than Friday afternoon.

This meeting enables Area Coordinators and Executive Members to come together to discuss the workings of the Association, to look at ways forward in promoting it to a greater number of patients, and also to look at ways of providing a greater awareness.
As is custom, Friday evening was an opportunity for all those attending to meet informally – for many the one time in the year in which they meet up in this way.
During the AGM on Saturday afternoon, as your Chairman I reviewed the past year and looked to the future of the Association.
The accounts were received. Richard Maddison was re-appointed Association Vice Chairman.
